Practice

Look in the mirror and ask yourself how you feel about your body. This is a practice in body awareness and our internal conversation with ourselves. What do you notice?

  • Is it challenging? Why? Why not?

  • What thoughts arise?

  • How do you talk to yourself?

  • What's your body-mind relationship?

  • What parts do you love?

  • What parts do you rather avoid looking at? Why?

Familiarizing ourselves with our body is accessible but not necessarily comfortable, or something we want to do. The benefits of befriending our bodies, including loving them, even the not-so-pleasant parts, bring more appreciation for life.
