Practice

Observe nature within your immediate surroundings. It can be your backyard if you have one, a park near you, or a tree, wild animals, or the sky you can see from your window. Allow yourself 5 minutes, or as much time as you have available. Observe it with curiosity.

 

What sensations are you noticing? How does your body feel? This practice is here to expand our awareness by lifting our gaze away from phones and computers and into the distance. The benefits extend beyond the feel-good sensations; it also gives our eyes a chance to refocus and helps us reorganize our thoughts. Find out more about the benefits of looking at nature.
